Who doesn’t love a good BLT and homemade fries on a summers night? Well I know that I do! It’s a very easy recipe and quick to make! Enjoy!
Ingredients for the BLT
- Bread
- Lettuce
- Bacon
- Tomatoes
- Vegenaise OR Ranch (that’s Chad’s favorite!)
Ingredients for the homemade fries
- Red Potatoes (5-10 depending on the size and how many fries you want)
- Olive Oil
- Pepper
- Sea Salt (optional)
- Lemon Pepper
- 21 Seasoning (I get mine from Trader Joes)
Instructions for BLT
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit
2. Line a baking sheet with tinfoil and if you have wire racks, place them on top of the foiled baking sheet
3. Bake for about 20 minutes or until bacon is to your liking
At the same time you can be cooking the homemade fries if you want to, that’s what I do!
4. After bacon is finished cooking, place paper towels on a plate, put bacon on paper towels and paper towels on bacon to soak up grease
5. Toast Bread and start assembling sandwich
6. Spread veganaise on each piece of bread
7. Place lettuce on the bread, then tomatoes and then bacon on top
8. Sandwich is done!
Instructions for Homemade Fries
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit
2. Wash and cut the red potatoes in thin slices
3. Place cut potatoes in a gallon ziplock bag and mix together the olive oil, pepper, lemon pepper and 21 seasoning
4. Pore the olive oil mixture over the potatoes in the bag, zip bag and shake
5. Place the potatoes onto baking sheet
6. Bake for 15 minutes and then flip potatoes and bake for another 10-15 minutes (depending on how crispy you want the fries)
So there it is… BLT and homemade fries! There’s the simple quick dinner! Enjoy!
